We are delighted to welcome Ashton Hewitt (Assoc CIPD) to Team Green in the role of Performance Advisor.
Ashton is a Welsh rugby union player who plays on the wing for Dragons RFC (who play in the United Rugby Championship), as well as being executive chairman of the Welsh Rugby Players Association and Commonwealth Team Wales Non-Executive Director. He describes himself as ‘half Welsh, half Jamaican and proud.’
Alongside his rugby career, which includes caps for Wales Under 20s, Ashton has completed a degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Youth Justice, followed by a Masters in Human Resource Management. He is outspoken against racism, supporting and advocating for racial justice by utilising his profile as a platform for awareness and change.
His role will see him offering perspectives on the strategic direction of Leading Edge in an advisory capacity to the leadership team.
Ashton is well known to Leading Edge and many of our clients having been a regular in our Performance Hub events over the last few years bringing powerful insights from high performance sport while sharing his own experiences around diversity inclusion and belonging.
His role at Leading Edge will see him supporting our strategic direction in an advisory capacity to the leadership team.

Ashton says “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Leading Edge. I have attended a number of their Performance Hub days which has provided me with insight into how they work and how effective they are at what they do. I look forward to working with the team both internally and with their highly regarded clients.’
