This week one of our Team Coaches delivered a Resilience module for a long-term client partner. With resilience a hot topic, we’ve noticed an increase in requests for support in the area of wellbeing.
As part of stretching participants thinking, we challenged them initially to explore their mindset – growth or fixed (based on the work of Dr Carol Dweck). Participants completed a quiz designed to give them insight into their current mindset:
- Fixed mindset: people believe and make life choices based on the assumption that people cannot change or improve their intelligence vs
- Growth mindset: people know and make life changes assuming we can always learn and grow
It’s a brilliant model for helping people to change their perspective of setbacks, mistakes and challenges – turning them from negative experiences and problems into learning and growth opportunities. A key tool for building a resilient foundation.
