Leading Edge are delighted to kick off a development programme this month for 400+ managers at Carnival UK. We won a three-way pitch to support this fantastic client with rolling out a new 10-month workshop programme that aligns with Carnival UK’s leadership incentives.

For the past two years, we’ve supported the Carnival UK board with coaching (Leading Edge Team Coach John Anderson continues in this role) and we’re now thrilled to grow and develop our relationship with Carnival as Victoria Freer-Hewish leads this new manager programme as Client Manager/Team Coach.

This programme – A Better Me, A Better Us – sees Carnival UK investing in developing the leadership skills of more people across the business with a fresh approach from Leading Edge.

About Carnival

Carnival cruises are all about fun vacations, with a typical cruise featuring plenty of day and night-time entertainment, including stage shows, musical performances, deck parties and casinos.

The two Carnival brands best known by UK holidaymakers are P&O Cruises (UK), which sails to more than 230 worldwide destinations, and Cunard, with its heritage of iconic ships, including Queen ElizabethQueen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.

In a business such as Carnival, fantastic customer experience is at the very heart of success. Through ongoing L&D programmes that support managers to live and breathe leadership initiatives ‘on ship and shore’, Carnival is focussed on ensuring a consistently excellent experience for customers right across the business and the brands.

Team Coach Insights

Victoria Freer-Hewish

Leading Edge Team Coach

Victoria gives us an insight into supporting Carnival UK. She says:

“The world of cruises is a whole new one for me, and it’s fascinating to find out how each business function – on ship or shore – plays such an important role in delivering the overall customer experience.

Carnival UK are being so brilliant at immersing us into their values and their life. It’s incredibly refreshing to see how they truly want to partner with us to get the best outcome for their teams. There’s a real transparency to the relationship – and that’s how we love to work at Leading Edge.

We’re in the early stages, with the first manager workshops happening later this month, but there’s already an exciting buzz and the future looks very bright.”
