Supporting the next generation of retail business leaders

It’s a big date in the retail calendar today – the start of this year’s Oxford Summer School Foundation programme.

Over the next 5 days the cream of the UK’s young retailers will be together for some intense training and coaching sessions to set them up to be the next generation of global retail business leaders.

As always, the Leading Edge team will be there to help the 70+ delegates to develop leadership and coaching skills, and to understand their own strengths and abilities.

We’re passionate about supporting the next generation of  leaders – helping to give them the confidence and belief that they can achieve anything they want, as long as they work hard at it.
The Leading Edge team work with leadership teams all over the world. We see every day that great leadership is the key to success in any organisation, particularly retail, and it starts with a personal understanding of what you can achieve, and an ability to engage and inspire your colleagues.

This was my lightbulb moment when I attended Oxford Summer School in 2003. To lead others you must first understand yourself. 

During this week’s Foundation School we’ll be using ‘Insights Discovery’ to pose a series of questions to the delegates, and will use the answers to show them what type of leader they are. It’s fun and stimulating, and sparks a real ‘aha!’ moment.”
This is the third year that Leading Edge has worked at the heart of the Oxford Summer School Foundation programme. It gives delegates an excellent grounding for a lifelong career in retail and business, and we look forward to working with each attendee in the future as decision makers and leaders of the future.
