Leading Edge are thrilled to announce that former Ireland international hockey player Sarah Kelleher has joined Team Green as a Team Coach.
Sarah represented Ireland at senior level for more than 10 years, winning 126 caps and captaining the side. Now as lead coach for England Under 18 Girls and co-coach of Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club’s Ladies’ 1st XI, working alongside Olympic gold medallist Kate Richardson-Walsh, Sarah’s approach to coaching is not just about what people learn but about working with what makes people happy.
Away from sport, but with an equal focus on high-performance delivery and team working, Sarah was a strategic brand consultant with global consultancy Truth, supporting businesses to become more successful and profitable by creating living brands that embody truth, depth of meaning, accuracy and relevancy.
Sarah’s unique mix of skills, honed through playing and coaching at international level and working in a demanding business environment, enhance her coaching approach. She believes that coaching plays a hugely positive role in business and that through asking good questions, allowing people to be themselves and giving them space to be their best, more joy can be brought into everyday work – in the same way it can be brought onto the sports pitch.
Sarah said: “I am very excited to be able to play a role for Leading Edge as a Team Coach. They are a community of genuine people with clear points of view and shared values about how they go about business. I am excited to be part of something where I can make a difference to clients and see the positive impact of change.”
Patrick Marr added “We are all delighted to be able to welcome Sarah to Leading Edge. Her career really personifies our interest in high performance… the fact she achieved 126 caps while successfully developing her professional career as a consultant gives her a breadth of learning and experience which will add immense value to us and to our clients.”
