We’re loving getting to know our fantastic new client urbanest who we’re supporting with a Highly Effective Teams (H.E.T.) journey supported by 1:1 coaching.
Their sector is student accommodation… but this is London student accommodation with a difference, and we’re thrilled to be working with this vibrant and ambitious organisation. A tailored H.E.T. journey will focus on energising and further uniting the Property Management team through a shared purpose and renewed collaboration. With a one-team mentality, the focus for this growing group will be to use their strong individual performances as a foundation for overall growth, of both the team and the business.
Following virtual discovery sessions within urbanest at the end of 2020, Leading Edge Team Coaches Lizzie Simmonds and Clare Burgum are finalising programme design, ready to start a team journey, which will see them working with both the team and the team’s leaders to achieve the outcomes.
Working closely with major universities in London, urbanest provides contemporary student accommodation, focused on delivering the highest quality accommodation and sector-leading service to students.
The company’s management team have many years of experience delivering properties designed for students, but they wanted to do it differently – and better. Since its 2008 launch, urbanest successfully opened and now manages seven properties in some of the best locations in central London: Hoxton, King’s Cross, St Pancras, Tower Bridge, Westminster Bridge, Vauxhall and Victoria.
Each student room maximises space and light, delivering the best in modern living and fresh design concepts. The community feel of an urbanest property means buzzing social areas and quiet study areas for residents along with lots of opportunity for students to meet new people, discover London and enjoy their living experience.
Team Coach Insights
Leading Edge Team Coach Lizzie Simmonds shares her thoughts ahead of working with urbanest.
“The words vibrant, energetic, dynamic and ambitious are spot on for describing the Property Management Team and leaders we’re supporting at urbanest – and that excites me! Teams can sometimes take time to build their energy levels at the start of a development journey, but I’m chuffed to see that this team just can’t wait to get going.
They are dynamic people – working hard in a thriving sector – and they have strong ambitions for growth. I’ve only spent a bit of time (virtually) with them so far, but I know how determined they are to build on what they’re doing well while embracing the challenges they’ve identified.
Creating a unified purpose and collaborating effectively will help them to push forward, and it’s great to see their desire to develop as both a team and as individuals.
I’m super excited to support this management team and see how their journey develops.”
